When your windshield is replaced and it has a Lane Departure Warning Camera on your windshield, all vehicle manufactures require a recalibration of this important safety system.

This camera on some vehicles, also affects how your automatic emergency braking system will perform in a braking emergency.

If you are being told your camera does not have to be recalibrated by a local Missoula area shop, they are not qualified to replace your windshield.  They are violating Nationally recognized Auto Glass Safety Standards relating to the requirement for a recalibration after a windshield is replaced.   Any Shop or Auto Glass Technician telling you a calibration is not necessary is not a certified Auto Glass Technician.  Hopefully they have insurance if you decide to use them.

The reason why companies that only work out of a truck or van do not do calibrations, is because they have chosen to ignore your safety and not spend 10's of thousands of dollars to invest in a calibration system.   There is also one company in Missoula that has a Auto Glass Shop that is also ignoring their customers safety.
